Dear Obergruppenführer,
I'll take him to Dr. Adler. These are the words you probably didn't think that would change your life and your family's. He's been in there for over an hour. Is everything all right? Can we, uh, make this brief, doctor? He has a tremor. A tremor? Words that I would never want to hear coming from a doctor about my child. I wish I could tell you that it was just growing pains, but your son has a serious disease. My heart would drop out of my chest. Landouzy-Dejurine syndrome. That's, that's nonsense. My son is the picture of health. I'm afraid he isn't. Within months, perhaps a year, there will be paralysis. That's a mistake, doctor. You're making a mistake. I would never tell this were I certain. This is a conversation I would never want to have with a doctor at all. Okay. So what's the treatment? There is no treatment. I can only imagine what you're feeling - anger, sadness, sorrow, despair. What do you mean, there is no treatment? No, I'm not accepting that, no. There's got to be some other tests you can run. As for, uh, medical assistance, a syringe and an ampule of an effective combination: morphine scopolamine and prussic acid. Absolutely painless. If you like, I can show you how to locate a vein in the back of the hand. John Smith, I am so, so sorry that you have this happen to you. No one deserves this kind of pain, this kind of torture

Dear Trudy,
Hello. Mom's upset Trudy. Arnold called me today saying she has been in a mood today. Mom thinks she lost you. I nearly broke out into tears when she said that. I have some bad news - Arnold works for the Japanese. He works in a surveillance room inside the Nippon Building listening to people's calls. I got in there last night, and I saw him. It looked like he was in charge. He's been lying to us all. Arnold saw me at work today, Trudy. We met at a diner. He has been working with them for sixteen years, Trudy. There is a new film and there is something different about this one. Trudy, he thinks he saved you. He thinks that he talked them into letting you and Randall go to the neutral zone. I don't know what to say to him; how do I tell him that his daughter could be dead? Trudy, I am at a loss for words. I thought I saw you today at the market. But Mr. Tagomi, a man I work for at the Nippon Building, gave me information about a location for me to go check out. Trudy, I saw your body. I am so sorry. I can't believe it. I don't want to, but I know its true. I am so, so sorry. I love you Trudy. In Man in the High Castle's eighth episode, End of the World, even though it is called end of the world it looks like a new world is coming. The episode opens up with Lemmel, the man that took the films from Juliana and Joe in Canon City, teaching a young boy about baiting. A few other resistance members hand him what seems to be a normal postcard, but it is actually a secret message hidden inside it. It's from the Man in the High Castle and he wants the new film. Back in San Francisco, Ed warns Frank that the Japanese were at the factory again asking him to make a real gun out of one of their fakes. Frank makes a plan to leave town with Juliana that night. He asks Ed if he can go buy the bus tickets for him because the Japanese are watching him. Meanwhile, Joe meets Juliana in a diner of course he is paying for her. He tells her that he needs her help to get the new film. He has resources but he needs her San Francisco connections. At first she doesn't want to help but eventually she goes and sees Karen, the woman she met at Randall's apartment. Juliana tells Karen that she has a contact (Joe) that can help them get the film. Karen and Lem don't want to trust Joe. They believe they can get the film on their own. They head for the pick up location where they were going to meet someone that was going to give them the film. But they find the man dead and the film missing. They get a call from the Yakuza telling them that they can have the film for 100,000 yen. Maybe they do need Joe. Inspector Kido gets the same offer from the Yakuza. The Yakuza tells Kido that it will be 150,000 yen, more than they offered the Resistance. Kido isn't interested at all. We now head to the Obergruppenführer's house, and his wife says that their son needs to go see the doctor. So the Obergruppenführer offers to take him. But at the doctor's, the Obergruppenführer receives very bad news, his son has Landouzy-Dejenerine, a disease that will eventually result in paralysis for his son. For the first time in this series, you see tears form in the Obergruppenführer eyes. For an instance you feel for him. You don't see him as the Obergruppenführer - you see him as a man and you feel his sadness. The doctor hands him a little case with a vial and a needle. Inside the vial is a concoction that would painlessly kill his son. It's a heartbreaking moment for the Obergruppenführer. The Obergruppenführer has other worries; he is being visited by a higher ranking officer from Berlin. Meanwhile Joe meets with Juliana, Lem, and Karen. Joe tells them that he can get them the 100,000 yen that they need. He calls the Obergruppenführer and tells him most of the plan. He agrees but he tells Joe that he better go through with this plan. As they are getting ready to make a play at a Yakuza club, Frank is preparing an escape plan with Juliana. But before they can leave, Juliana has to go see her mother and Arnold. Earlier in the day Juliana told her parents that Trudy is dead. Her mother refuses to believe it. But Arnold believe her and he tells her at dinner the whatever she does she has to stay away from the Bamboo Palace which is where Joe is meeting the Yakuza to get the film. He says that the Kempeitai knows about the meeting and is going to break it up. That of course sends Juliana right to the Bamboo Palace. She has to tell Joe that the Kempeitai are setting up a trap. By the time she shows up, the Kempeitai show up at the same time. They manage to get out of the club, but a black car pulls up and grabs them and takes them away.
In seventh episode of The Man in the High Castle, The Truth, the truth is the main theme in this episode. It starts off right were episode sixth left off. Joe is face to face with the Obergruppenführer after he caught him with his proverbial hand in the cookie jar. The Obergruppenführer says that Joe turned out to be less loyal then he thought. He then shows Joe the sketch of Juliana that she lost in Canon City. The Obergruppenführer tells Joe to tell him about her. Joe tells most of the truth but he holds some information back. He tells the Obergruppenführer that he only protected Juliana so that his cover could stay intact and also because he has feelings for her. It is enough information to keep Joe alive for now. Apparently the Nazis are looking for a different kind of film and the Obergruppenführer plans on using Joe's relationship with Juliana to help them find it. Now to Frank and Juliana. Frank tells her about his assassination attempt on the prince. Frank said he felt it was the only thing necessary after seeing so much death. He admits that he couldn't do it; seeing that Japanese boy made him think that there is another way. Juliana's secret is that she saw her step father, Arnold, working for the Japanese. As more and more secrets are being revealed, they are starting to see the world the way that it is. While walking in town, Juliana thinks she sees her sister Trudy alive, and Juliana's mother says she has a feeling that in her gut that Trudy is still alive. But the biggest secret we find out is that Joe has a family in New York. After getting his new mission from the Obergruppenführer, Joe heads to an apartment that he shares with a woman and her son. Joe's mission is to wait for Juliana to call and try to get any information about this new film. For a bit we follow Robert the antique shop owner that Frank bought the bullets from. He is invited to a Japanese family's house for dinner. This dinner is awkward and no one really understands what significance this dinner has. After the dinner is over, Robert tries to invite Paul, the man that invited him over for dinner, to come to his place for dinner sometime. Paul turns him down; he says that this dinner has been instructive. The only thing this dinner does is make Robert hate Paul. So when Frank comes to Robert and says that he wants to make some fake antiques and sell them, Robert is all for it. He tells Frank to make a Sitting Bull tag for Paul saying that Paul can't tell the difference between a real and a fake. We are now with Juliana while she is at work and Arnold sees her and tells her to meet him at a diner after work. Arnold tells Juliana he took this job sixteen years ago to protect his family. Arnold also believes that he saved Trudy's life by convincing the Japanese to let her go to the neutral zone. Juliana still can't shake the thought that Trudy is still alive. Mr. Tagomi, who has been digging into Juliana's past, tells Juliana that he has proof her sister is in fact dead. Juliana asks for the proof. Tagomi gives her information of a place to go, but he warns her that it is a brutal sight to see. It's far worse than you can imagine; it is pit of dead bodies. Juliana finds her sister's body there.
Uncertainty
“My heart tells me he is a good man. He's a...he's a brave man who...who must have good reason for...betraying his people. But my head? My head says that we should take him out in the woods, interrogate him, shoot him in the fucking face,” Juliana says with a gun pointed at Joe. “How could you lie to me? You told me you were working for the resistance, but all along you were a fucking Nazi agent? They knew all along that you were one of them. You lied to me.” “Juliana you got to trust me I do not work for them.” “Who can I believe, Joe, they have proof?” “Juliana, I promise I do not work for them anymore. Remember when you asked me back in Canon City if I watched the film? Well, I did. It changed my view on everything. I found myself wondering if the Germans were doing everything wrong. I mean for Christ sakes they burn people just for being different. That is not a world that I want to live in. I changed my mind, Juliana I want to make the world a better place.” “I can’t believe you Joe. You lied to me before and you could easily lie to me again.” “Juliana, please just give me one more chance.” She pulls the gun back. Joe gets up grabs the gun from Juliana. “I guess you should have believed them.” “Joe please don-“ All you hear is a single gunshot. Heil Hitler. In The Man in the High Castle episode 6 "Three Monkeys" takes place on V.A. Day. Which is Victory in American Day. We head to Juliana who is back at the Authority Building she was called in by Mr. Tagomi. Juliana seems worried to as why she is being summoned. Remember the in the previous episode she ran into Tagomi and he dropped her necklace. It turns out that he is ready to offer her a job. Why her? We don't know his intentions but it could be to help ease the German people that come in to talk with him and it will be easing to see a white person there. Juliana's job is to mind her business and never remember anything that she hears, and to server them water and coffee. But of course it is Juliana and she is keeping and ear and eye out for anything Grasshopper related or anything that will tell her about the films and why her sister was killed. Back at home Juliana is trying to fix the relationship between her and Frank. She doesn't tell Frank about meeting Mr. Tagomi and about her getting a job. She says they should have dinner together but she ends up showing up late because she gets help up at work. They have a huge argument. Frank meanwhile is trying to get his life back to normal. But that seems almost impossible for him now because the Kempeitai is on his tail. Even though Frank didn't shoot the crown prince he has been implicated by the little boy and father that show him. They described the gun that he was using so now detective Kido is searching all local antique dealers whom may have sold weapons. This leads Kido to the shop that Frank bought the bullets from. The man that owns the stores of course lies about Frank buying the bullets and said that a man from tibet bought them. Kido doesn't believe the store owner. Kido then sends his mens to Franks work place to get some information. It seems they are trying to get Frank's information specifically because of his past experience with them. Meanwhile Joe is enjoying his day at the Obergruppenführer’s house. You get a creepy leave it to beaver vibe. Joe even head to the airpot with the Obergruppenführer to pick up his wife Helen's mother only to find that her flight was canceled. The Obergruppenführer sees a familiar face his old friend Rudolph Wegener as know as Barnes the Nazi agent that is working with Mr. Tagomi. Rudolph was friends with the Obergruppenführer back during the war. He invites his old friend to his house for V.A. Day celebration. Back to the Obergruppenführer’s house everyone is watching the parade. While they are all watching Joe attempts to sneak into the Obergruppenführer's office and steal the Grasshopper file that he saw the Obergruppenführer put in his bag. He wasn't able to get acquire it he needs a key to open the case that is locked away in. After everyone is done watching the parade tension seems to grow between the Obergruppenführer and Rudolph. Rudolph questions some of their actions during the war and what did they really achieve. The Obergruppenführer tells him that they live in a better world now, so everything they did was worth it. The Obergruppenführer later tells Joe that Helena's mother passed away two years ago. The reason they were at the airport was because of Rudolph had checked in under a false name. The Obergruppenführer knows that Rudolph is lying but he doesn't know why. The Obergruppenführer doesn't know if he should trust his old friend but Joe changes his mind. The Obergruppenführer then calls his men to detain Rudolph. Rudolph says "You were always to smart for me" as he is taken away. Meanwhile Juliana is back at home Frank and her are having an argument, and in the heat of the moment she tells Frank that she killed a man while she was at Canon City. Frank blows up and leaves the apartment. He wanders his way to the man that he met at the funeral service for his sister. It is unclear what the man's intentions are but he prays for Franks loved ones. After there fright Juliana discovers what Sakura could possibly mean. Based on what one of her coworkers said it's a word for a type of flower. She realizes that all the rooms in the building are named after flowers. She needs to find Sakura. She heads back to work after hours to find her way to the room. Once she gets her way inside the room she discovers people listening to other peoples phone calls and writing down notes of potential threats. Juliana see where the notes a put and one of the notes has the word grasshopper on it. She of course secretly steals the note. But unexpected to her she looks into the other room and see's her step father. She rushes out of there before he can see her. Meanwhile Joe is asked to stay the night. Joe see it as an opportunity to get into the Obergruppenführer’s office. He manages to open the cabinet and snag the files. The files are empty and then the lights turn on and Joe turns around to see the Obergruppenführer’s looking right at him.
The Man in the High Castle fifth episode "The New Normal" jumps right into the immediate after math of the crowned prince being shot. It is mass chaos people are running around all over the place and some are just standing there in shock. Frank runs away and hides his gun in an alley way even though he never fired the gun. The Japanese immediately put the area on lock down. Which means that Barnes the Nazi agent that is working with Tagomi is always stuck there. He still has the vial which he was never able to get to the science minister. Every foreigner is being screen by the Japanese police. So Barnes puts the vial in his mouth and swallows it. In Franks haste he as he is fleeing the scene he drops Juliana's necklace. After the area has been cleared Tagomi finds the necklace on the ground. Meanwhile Juliana has returned to San Francisco. She is excited to see Frank but Frank isn't as excited to see her. Frank is being very cold with her I mean can you blame the guy her leaving and not even telling him, then he gets arrested and his sister and her kids are killed I would be a little cold as well with her. He tells her to go see her mom and step dad. Her mom and step have no idea about to trip to Canon City and are also in the dark about Trudy's death. Juliana is only there for a brief period because her mom brings up Franks sister and her kids being killed by the Kempeitai. The sudden despair and sadness the falls upon Juliana's face is heart breaking. This is the first time she is hearing about Franks sister and kids. She rushes home and falls into his arms crying into his shoulder saying how she regrets getting on that bus to Canon City. She feels responsible for everything that happen including her changed relationship with Frank. While Frank is about to head to work he tells her to go to her dojo. Juliana wonders if it can go back to normal, but Frank says that it is impossible, and that for right now her is just trying to survive the till the next day. Sadly for Juliana she can not find comfort familiarity at the dojo. When she arrives at the dojo she finds out that the Kempeitai have come looking for her and the presence of a wanted person will disrupt the dojo. Juliana may have been gone for only a few days but her life has been turned upside down. Meanwhile Joe is back with the Nazi telling them every little detail about his mission in Canon City. He says while taking the film was disobeying orders it was something that had to be done. There are inconsistencies in his story. Couple with that fact that he is lying about Juliana's role in the whole thing. Joe's dual alliances are creating some problems for Joe. The Obergruppenfuhrer invites Joe to his house for V.A. Day. You then see someone walk into the Obergruppenfuhrer office whit some files he then puts the files in his bag and one of the files that is clearly seen says Grasshopper on it. Back to San Francisco Juliana is trying to find some answers and clues to what the flims mean to the Resistance and what they are after. She explores Randall's abandoned house. Randall is the man that gave Trudy the film that got her killed. While searching his house another woman shows up she is a friend of Randall's. She tells Juliana that the Resistance have been trading the films with the Man in the High Castle for information that will help them fight the government. The woman says that she thinks someone setup Randall and Trudy up someone that is working with the Japanese government. The woman shows Juliana a visitor pass to the Japanese Authority Building. There is a name on the card that says Sakura Iwaazaru. Frank attends a funeral service for his sister and her kids. While at their funeral Frank meets a man name Mark Samson. He tells Frank to come by anytime he wants to chat then he whispers into his ear "to life". At the Authority Building Juliana is being interviewed by a Mr. Eto. He says that the women here need to carter to there boss's special needs and service. He then proceeds to unzip his pants and he asks her does she want the job. Juliana runs out of the office and bumps right into Tagomi and he drops Juliana's necklace.
